Scorpion sting sends Oregon State's plane back to LA

Some losses sting more than others, but this is just bizarre. In one of the strangest cases of #Pac12AfterDark we've ever seen, Oregon State men's basketball was en route to Corvallis Saturday night after dropping a 68-55 contest with the Trojans in Los Angeles. Then, the Beavers tweeted this:

 

Oregon State play-by-play announcer Mike Parker tweeted this picture from the cabin of the plane:

No further information regarding the incident was immediately available. Stay with Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12.com as the story develops.

UPDATE: The Beavers landed safely in Portland at about 11:30 p.m. according to The Oregonian. The woman who was stung remained in Los Angeles to receive medical treatment. The perpetrator was purportedly squashed.
