BOULDER - The University of Colorado will be the No. 9 seed at the 2015 Pac-12 Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, March 5-8 at KeyArena in Seattle.

Colorado will open tournament play with a first round game against No. 8 USC on Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m. MST. The winner of Thursday's game will face No. 1 seed Oregon State on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The regular season champion Beavers receive a first round bye.

The Buffaloes, 13-16 overall, finished tied with Oregon for ninth in the Pac-12 standings at 6-12. Colorado received the No. 9 seed over the Ducks by virtue of its 84-69 win on Feb. 22 in Boulder in the season's only meeting.

Colorado is 3-3 in its previous Pac-12 Tournament appearances, winning its opening game in each season. Two of those three wins have come with the Buffaloes being the lower seed, including the 2014 championship when the No. 9 seed Buffaloes defeated No. 8 UCLA, 76-65, in a first round game before falling to top-seeded Stanford in the quarterfinals.

USC holds an 8-4 all-time lead in the series including a two-game sweep during the regular season. The Trojans won 81-61 on Jan. 9 in Boulder and 66-51 on Feb. 8 in Los Angeles. This will be the first Pac-12 Tournament meeting between the two schools and second ever in the postseason. USC defeated the Buffaloes 87-70 in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Postseason WNIT.

All of Colorado's Pac-12 Tournament games will be broadcast live on KKZN AM 760. The Pac-12 Network will nationally televise all tournament games through the semifinals with the championship game airing live on ESPN on Sunday, March 9, at 7 p.m. MST.
