The No. 2 Oregon Ducks are busily preparing for this weekend's super regional matchup with North Carolina State, and a pair of players who have helped the Ducks get to the doorstep of the Women's College World Series have been named finalists for a pair of prestigious awards.

Junior pitcher Cheridan Hawkins was named Wednesday a finalist for the ASA/USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award. The two-time defending Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, Hawkins has been dominant in the circle all season, posting a 29-3 record and a miniscule 1.40 ERA.

The Pac-12 Freshman of the Year has started in each of Oregon's 55 games in 2015, posting a .441 batting acerage and has shined both at the plate and in the field.
