• PLAYER OF THE WEEK: OSU's Jalen Markey, a sophomore defender from Seattle, Wash., helped anchor an Oregon State back-line that did not allow a goal in the opening weekend of Pac-12 play and send the Beavers to 2-0. Oregon State comes back in the national rankings, this time at No. 16.
• UCLA clinched its first Conference victory, a 3-2 road win over Washington. Freshman MF Jose Hernandez scored his first goal on a penalty kick and rebounded his second penalty kick attempt for his second goal of the game to win it in the 107th minute. Hernandez now leads all Pac-12 freshmen in points (11) and is now second on the team in points and goals (5).
• No. 3 Stanford has now won eight-straight matches after beating California, 2-1 in Berkeley. The win marks the Cardinal's longest streak since 2001.
• California's Jose Carrera-Garcia ranks T2nd nationally in assists per game, coming in at .75. As a team, The Golden Bears lead the nation in assists per game at 2.63. Of California's 16 goals to date, only two were unassisted.
• The Pac-12 Network will broadcast 35 matches in 2015. UCLA alumnus and former MLS player Cobi Jones will continue to cover all the action on the Networks alongside analysts Christopher Sullivan and Kelly Gray. Rich Cellini and JB Long continue play-by-play duties, along with Miles, Jim Watson, Rich Burk and Troy Clardy.

• The Beavers' SO D Jalen Markey was named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week.
• Pac-12 Networks' Sports Report will unveil the Pac-12 All-Century Men's Soccer Team, Oct. 19.
• Stanford's Jordan Morris scored two goals in the 3-1 victory over Canada, as the U.S. U-23 Men's National Team attempts to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.
• Morris, a Type 1 diabetic, is also lending his support to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) “T1D Looks Like Me Campaign” for National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM) in November. Among a number of different pieces to the awareness push, Morris will be featured in a Times Square display ad the first week of the month.

• San Diego State's head coach Lev Kirshner’s alma mater, Rutgers, inducted its 1990 men’s soccer team in to the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame. Kirshner was a senior on that team, which advanced to the NCAA Championship match before falling to UCLA on penalty kicks.
