Pac-12 announces in-game entertainment for Football Championship Game

SANTA CLARA, Calif.– The 2015 Pac-12 Football Championship Game between No. 7 Stanford and No. 20 USC will feature a national anthem performance by Brian McKnight and a special centennial celebration performance by John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting, as well as appearances by several members of the Pac-12 Football All-Century Team.

The championship game will be played at Levi’s® Stadium in Santa Clara for the second year in a row and will kick off at 4:45 p.m. PT on Saturday, Dec. 5. Tickets are available at pac-12.com/tickets or by calling 415-464-9377 ext. 3. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. 

As the Pac-12 celebrates its centennial this year, members of the Pac-12 Football All-Century Team, including Offensive Player of the Century John Elway and Defensive Player of the Century Ronnie Lott, will be involved in both pre-game and post-game ceremonies.

Members of the All-Century team will be featured during the coin toss, game ball delivery, and trophy presentation and will also participate in on-screen interviews with Pac-12 Networks talent throughout the game. Pac-12 Football All-Century Team members set to attend the game include Marcus Allen (USC), Tedy Bruschi (ARIZONA), Joey Browner (USC), John Elway (STANFORD), Jason Hanson (WASHINGTON STATE), Tom Hackett (UTAH), Lincoln Kennedy (WASHINGTON), Ronnie Lott (USC), Ken Margerum (STANFORD), Jim Plunkett (STANFORD), Jerry Robinson (UCLA), JJ Stokes (UCLA), Ed White (CALIFORNIA), and Ron Yary (USC).

In the spirit of the centennial, pre-game entertainment will also include a special performance of the hit song “100 Years” by John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting.

R&B singer-songwriter Brian McKnight will perform the national anthem prior to kickoff. At halftime, the USC band, the “Spirit of Troy,” and the Stanford band, the famed “Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band,” will take the field. 

Before the game, the Pac-12 Plaza at Faithful Mile will provide the ultimate pre-game fan experience. Pac-12 Plaza will give fans an opportunity to meet with Pac-12 Networks talent and members of the Football All-Century team, take pictures with the championship trophy, and interact with Pac-12 partners including adidas, GEICO, Red Vines, and ‘76®. The Faithful Mile will be located between Intel Gate A and Gate B and will be open from 1:55 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Pac-12 Football Championship Pregame Show, Presented by GEICO with Mike Yam, Curtis Conway, Nigel Burton, and Nick Aliotti will air at 3:30 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Network. The game itself will air on ESPN at 4:45 p.m. PT, followed by the Pac-12 Football Championship Postgame Report, Presented by GEICO on Pac-12 Network.
