UCLA alum Russell Westbrook honored during Bruins' dramatic win

Jan 7, 2016

Russell Westbrook night at Pauley Pavilion didn't disappoint. It had everything.

Westbrook-style glasses frames handed out to fans in attendance? Check.

Westbrook's Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kevin Durant? Of course.

Legendary coaches Lute Olson and Jim Harrick? Absolutely.

It was a star-studded game, and well worth the hype. The Bruins celebrated alum Russell Westbrook and his significant donation to the UCLA basketball facilities. The practice court will be named after Westbrook.

"I'm just honored and humbled to be able to give back to the school I went to," he said to the crowd during the halftime ceremony.

His team thanked Westbrook in its own way: with a dramatic 87-84 win against No. 7 Arizona that came down to a game-winning three from Bryce Alford.
