Pac-12 names SoFi official consumer lending partner of Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (February 17, 2016) – The Pac-12 Conference has named modern finance company SoFi as the official consumer-lending partner of the 2016 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas, it was announced today.
SoFi will receive a full slate of media inventory, digital and social media assets, in-arena and courtside signage as well as hospitality and activation at the tournament. They will also have use of the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament logo for their marketing campaign.
“As the first company to make it possible to refinance federal student loans – and now the leader in student loan refinancing -- SoFi is an ideal partner for us,” Pac-12 Networks Executive Vice President of Sales Neil Davis said. “They have a great appreciation for the success of Pac-12 students and alumni and we like the idea of partnering and growing with non-traditional, cutting edge companies.”
"A partnership with the Pac 12 is a natural fit for us on several levels," said Joanne Bradford, SoFi Chief Operating Officer. "Many of our members are graduates of the Pac-12, we're headquartered in the Bay Area and our founders met at Stanford. We're pleased to be supporting schools in a conference so close to home."
The Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played March 9-12, 2016, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Last year, Arizona captured the Pac-12 title in front of one of the most dynamic and exciting tournament settings in the country. This year figures to be no different, as the Conference endures one of the most competitive seasons in its 100-year history. The Pac-12 has the second highest RPI in the country and is currently projected to earn a league record 7-to-8 NCAA Tournament bids according to various major sports news bracketology outlets.
Tickets to the tournament and special hotel and entertainment packages are available now at pac-12.com/tickets. In addition, fans around the country can watch all 11 games on Pac-12 Networks and FOX Sports 1.
