SAN FRANCISCO — The Pac-12 Conference office announced the softball weekly honors for play from Feb. 15-Feb. 21. UCLA infielder Kylee Perez was named player of the week, ARIZONA’s Danielle O’Toole was tabbed pitcher of the week while WASHINGTON’s Morganne Flores was voted freshman of the week. This is the first-career weekly honor for each student-athlete.

Perez (Martinez, Calif.) had hits in all five games at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic I, going 11-for-16 (.688) with seven runs batted in, five runs scored and two home runs. The sophomore had multiple hits in four of the five contests, including three-hit games against Pacific on Sunday and Notre Dame on Saturday. She drove in three, including a two-run homer, versus the Tigers, one of her two multi-RBI games. On Saturday against Cal Poly, Perez drove in a career-high four on a three-run homer and an RBI double. The sophomore also had two singles against fourth-ranked LSU. Perez is hitting .500 on the season, with 16 hits in 32 at-bats, to go with two homers, seven RBI and nine runs scored. This is UCLA’s 137th all-time weekly honor.

O’Toole (Upland, Calif.) threw a complete-game three-hit shutout against No. 4 LSU, highlighting her weekend against tough competition at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, California last weekend. Arizona faced three ranked opponents and O’Toole received the start in all three games, going 2-1, including a pair of victories over top-15 teams. O’Toole struck out eight and allowed five total base runners in her shutout of the fourth-ranked Tigers before pitching the first five innings of Arizona’s blowout victory over the 15th-ranked Knights. O’Toole allowed just one earned run on three hits in the outing. This is Arizona’s 149th all-time weekly award.

Flores (Cypress, Calif.) helped the No. 9-ranked University of Washington softball go 4-1 and beat another top-15 ranked opponent at the Mary Nutter Classic this weekend in Central Florida. The Huskies outscored opponents 50-22. Freshman Morganne Flores hit .600 over the course of three games she started at the catcher position. She went 6-for-10 with two RBI and hit her first collegiate home run against Central Michigan. She did not commit an error behind the dish, helping Washington's pitchers throw a pair of shutouts and a win against No. 15 UCF. This is the 91st weekly honor for Washington.

A player of the week has been selected every week since 1989, with the pitcher of the week honor dating back to 1992. This is the second season of freshman of the week honors.

This weekend UCLA and Washington heads to the Mary Nutter Classic II in Palm Springs, Calif., while the Wildcats head to the Easton Bama Bash in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
