SAN FRANCISCO - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year finalist Josh Scott led COLORADO to a pair of critical home wins to earn his second Pac-12 Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week award of the season as voted upon by media who cover the league.

One of three Kareem Award finalists from the Pac-12, Scott averaged 20.5 points on 57.1 percent shooting (16-28) from the field and 81.8 percent (9-11) at the foul line, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks as COLORADO posted wins over No. 9 ARIZONA and ARIZONA STATE to finish the season 16-1 at home.

Scott opened the week with a season-high 26 points (10-18 FG, 6-7 FT) along with nine rebounds and three blocks to lead the Buffaloes to a 75-72 victory over the Wildcats. His performance featured 17 second-half points, including six of COLORADO’s final seven field goals, to hold off ARIZONA’s late rally.

On his Senior Day on Sunday, Scott reached double-figure scoring for the 26th time this season and 92nd time in his career with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting as the Buffaloes closed their home slate with a 79-69 triumph over the Sun Devils.

Scott is the only Pac-12 player in the top 5 in the league in scoring (5th, 16.7 ppg), rebounding (4th, 8.8 rpg) and blocks (4th, 1.7 bpg), and he ranks seventh in the league in field goal percentage (.554). Scott joins former teammate Askia Booker as the only Buffaloes with two Pac-12 awards in one season. He’s also the third Pac-12 player to earn multiple weekly awards this season, joining UTAH’s Jakob Poeltl (four) and WASHINGTON’s Andrew Andrews (two).

The final week of the Pac-12 regular season features 10 games, all of them bearing an impact on conference tournament seeding and postseason possibilities. The complete Pac-12 Tournament bracket will be announced following Sunday’s five-game finale, which opens with STANFORD visiting ARIZONA at 2 p.m. MT on CBS and concludes with COLORADO traveling to UTAH at 7:30 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
