Cats Take Down Concordia in First Road Match

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The sixth ranked Arizona sand volleyball team remain undefeated as they took down Concordia University earlier today. This was the Sand Cat's first away match of the 2016 season and now hold a 5-0 record. 

Arizona's No. 3 team of Olivia Macdonald and Sam Manley earned a victory against Kaila Ames and Madeline Deters in consecutive sets 21-7, 21-11.

The Sand Cats No. 4 duo of Mia Mason and Sara Pantovic took down the Eagles pair of Kyra Auten and Tristan Self in a two-set victory 21-8, 21-12.

UA would then go on to pick up another win on court two with the No. 5 pair of Hailey Devlin and MacKenzie Kleespies defeating Katie Napier and Morgan Nunley 21-11, 21-13

The No. 2 tandem of Jianna Bonomi and Kat Schulz gained a victory as they downed Concordia's Marissa Boyd and Amber Rose 21-10, 21-14

Arizona's Witt twins, Madison and McKenna Witt of the No. 1 pair owned court one as they defeated Rachel Flynn and Logan Grove in consecutive sets 21-15, 21-15.

The Wildcats No. 6 duo of Tyler Lucas and Nikki Attea participated in the exhibition match picking up a hard fought victory against the Eagles pair of Ellie Ladensack and Savannah Spear 21-13, 21-18.

UA will go on to face No. 3 ranked UCLA tomorrow in Los Angeles, Calif. at 11 a.m. PST. to close out the weekend of play on the coast.
