SAN FRANCISCO - The Conference office announced today Timmy Robinson of USC was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week and Ryan Hingst of ARIZONA STATE was tabbed Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week for the action during the week of March 21-27.

Robinson (Huntington Beach, Calif.) batted a team-high .462 on the week, including a two home run day on Saturday, March 26 as the Trojans defeated No. 17 UC Santa Barbara 9-5. In that game, Robinson went 2-for-3, driving in five of the team’s nine runs. The five RBI matched a career high for the senior, while his two home runs in the game are a career high. His first long ball was a 3-run home run, the second was a solo shot and his final RBI came on a sac fly. On the week he had at least one hit in each of the four games, tallied a total of 6 RBI, 6 hits (6-for-13) and had three home runs, including a solo shot in USC’s 3-2 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday. This is his first-career weekly accolade and the 60th all-time for USC.

Hingst (El Paso, Texas) pitched the 10th no-hitter in Sun Devil Baseball history and the 57th in Conference history to power Arizona State to a 5-0 win against Utah on Friday night. Hingst, in his first start of the season and his first career Pac-12 start, completed ASU’s first no-hitter since March 23, 2013, as he allowed four baserunners on 121 pitches, including 81 strikes and struck out a career-best nine. It marked the Devils’ second no-hitter in Conference play and the school’s third no-hitter at Phoenix Muni. Hingst, whose previous career-long outing was five innings, retired the first nine batters in order, hit one batter and allowed three walks in the middle third of the game, and retired the final 11 batters to close out his historic night. This is Hingst's first-career weekly honor and the 67th all-time for Arizona State.

The Trojans head to The Farm to take on Stanford this weekend while the Sun Devils go the Palouse to square off with Washington State. All three games of the Arizona State - Washington State series will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. Regional information can be found here.
