USC won the first-ever NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship Sunday, defeating Florida State 3-0 in the finals. National title No. 124, NCAA team title No. 101 for USC. Congrats.


Cal rugby won the 2016 Varsity Cup national championship, defeating BYU 40-29 Saturday in Provo.


Stanford women’s golf finished in a tie for first in NCAA Regional play on its home course, carding a 4-over 856 alongside USC. As a result, Stanford will have a chance to defend its national title at the NCAA Championships May 20-25 in Eugene.

Oregon State

Former Oregon State offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, Geoffrey C. Arnold of The Oregonian/OregonLive informs us. Four years for $3.1 million is the deal.

Arizona State

Former Arizona State baseball player Cory Hahn tells his story for The Players’ Tribune. Hahn was paralyzed from the chest down early into his freshman season at ASU sliding into second base, but was selected by the Diamondbacks in the 34th round of the MLB Draft and now works in baseball ops for the organization.


Utah basketball forward Brekkott Chapman will transfer out of the program, reports Tony Jones of The Salt Lake Tribune.


Washington men’s basketball hired Michael Porter Sr. as an assistant coach (Sam Vecenie, CBS Sports). His son is one of the top recruits in the class of 2017.

Washington State

UCLA’s Nicholas Scarvelis will compete at the Olympics in shot put for Greece, notes Lindsey Thiry of the Los Angeles Times. The senior from Santa Barbara topped the Olympic qualifying mark by more than four inches last month (his grandparents are from Greece).


A big sweep over Oregon State has Arizona baseball thinking about NCAA Regional play, writes Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star. After the sweep, Arizona is 31-16 overall and 14-10 in the Pac-12, a half game out of first.


Oregon softball defeated Cal 5-2 Sunday to take the series from the Golden Bears in Berkeley.
