Roundup: UCLA and Under Armour reach landmark deal
UCLA and Under Armour agreed to a 15-year, $280 million deal, UCLA announced Tuesday. David Wharton of the Los Angeles Times reports that it is the largest shoe and apparel deal in NCAA history.
Congrats to Stanford women’s tennis for winning the 2016 NCAA title after defeating No. 12 Oklahoma State 4-3 in the championship round. Seeded 15th for the NCAA Championships, Stanford women’s tennis has now won 14 of its last 16 NCAA matches when seeded lower than its opponent. This could just be the start of a big week for Stanford athletics, because Stanford women’s golf faces Washington for the NCAA title on Wednesday.
Jennifer Cohen has been named the new full-time athletic director at Washington, the school announced Tuesday. She has been the interim AD since January and becomes the full-time AD officially on June 1.
