Pac-12 All-Star vs. Australia men’s national team to air across all seven networks

SAN FRANCISCO (July 7, 2016) – In line with the Pac-12 Global initiative, Pac-12 Networks will televise the men’s basketball exhibition games between the Pac-12 All-Star team and the Australian Men’s National Team - known as the Australian Boomers - on July 12 and July 14. The games are part of the Boomers’ preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympic games.

Play-by-play announcer Roxy Bernstein and analyst Don MacLean will have the call from Pac-12 Networks HQ. The games will air live at 2:30 a.m. PT on July 12 and at 2:30 a.m. PT on July 14, with re-airs at 6 p.m. PT each day on Pac-12 Network.

Coached by Pac-12 Networks men’s basketball analyst and College Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Mike Montgomery, the Pac-12 all-star team is comprised of 12 student-athletes from 10 member schools.

“I am really excited to coach this outstanding group of players from the Pac 12,” said Montgomery. “It is a great opportunity to represent our great conference against the highest caliber competition in a great and beautiful country. It is a great challenge, one that will stretch our young players to compete and play together.”

The group embarks on the tour from July 9-14. The trip will provide student-athletes the opportunity to experience Australian culture, visit historic landmarks, and engage in off-the-court activities.
