Washington moved up to No. 4 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, surpassing the Fighting Harbaughs after their loss to THE Ohio State University. Win and in? Most likely yes, but maybe not…

The Pac-12 year-end football awards were released Tuesday, and

it should come as no surprise that Colorado’s Mike MacIntyre was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year. He only led the single biggest turnaround in Pac-12 history going by conference wins, that’s all.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Cal coach Sonny Dykes is in the running for the Baylor head coaching position. The Texas native has also been linked to the Houston opening.

Here’s a snippet of Pac-12 Networks’ interview with USC’s Adoree’ Jackson after he was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. Nice Rams shirt, Adoree’. That’s J.B. Long’s Los Angeles Rams.

Arizona State

Graham Winkworth was named Arizona State women’s soccer head coach Tuesday. Winkworth has spent the last four years as head coach of South Alabama. When I see this guy’s picture, I think of one word – footy.

Apparently, he has already reached out to Arizona State, Utah and UCLA, according to Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star.

Washington State

Despite the speculation, Washington State running backs coach Jim Mastro says he will not take the Nevada head coaching job. Mastro was at Nevada for 11 seasons and produced one of the most explosive rushing attacks in the nation.

Oregon State

Oregon State cornerback Treston Decoud accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine game, Gina Mizell reports. Decoud had 58 tackles and two interceptions this year.

Jon Wilner gives us his Stanford football report card and an update on the Cardinal’s bowl situation. Looking like the Sun Bowl for the Card, and maybe a date with Wake Forest or Georgia Tech.

Kyle Goon notes that turnovers have been an issue for Utah men’s basketball in the early part of the season. To be expected with a young group, but 18 turnovers compared to just four assists against Butler was pretty eye-popping.
