Washington

The Huskies will have some replacing to do on the defense, as Budda Baker, Sidney Jones and Elijah Qualls are all entering the NFL Draft, the school announced Tuesday (and written up here by Adam Jude). Skilled receiver John Ross will also be headed for the NFL Draft.

Stanford

As expected, Stanford defensive lineman Solomon Thomas is entering the NFL Draft, announcing so in an article posted on GoStanford.com

Utah

Utah safety Marcus Williams is entering the NFL Draft, he announced via Twitter. Deseret News with the link.

Oregon

Oregon alumi and Olympic medalists Ashton Eaton, Brianne Theisen-Eaton jointly announced their retirement from competitive track and field Wednesday morning. The husband and wife duo collected a total of three Olympic medals with Eaton winning decathlon golds in 2012 and 2016 for the United States, while Theisen-Eaton claimed a heptathlon bronze for Canada in Rio.

Arizona

Ryan Kelapire of Arizona Desert Swarm writes that Arizona basketball’s Allonzo Trier is staying upbeat despite not being able to play due to eligibility questions. Trier has been at all 52 of Arizona’s practices and is an active cheerleader on the bench for games.

Arizona State

In case you haven’t been paying attention to NBA box scores, James Harden has recorded three straight triple-doubles after going for 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against the Washington Wizards Monday night (The Arizona Republic). Seems like it’s gonna be a battle between a couple of Pac-12 alums in Harden and Russell Westbrook for the MVP award.

Oregon State

It’s time for the second week of the Pac-12 men’s basketball season, and Danny Moran has the Oregon State-Washington State game preview in this link.

Washington State

And let’s flip the battle lines around, as Jacob Thorpe gives us the Washington State-Oregon State game preview for Coug followers. This game will be played in Spokane (Wednesday night at 8 p.m. PT/9 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Networks).

California

Nick Kranz of California Golden Blogs gives us a Cal-UCLA men’s basketball preview (Thursday at 6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT on ESPN). Good rundown of the UCLA lineup here for the Cal faithful.

UCLA

Ben Bolch notes that UCLA men’s basketball guard Isaac Hamilton is hoping to get out of his shooting slump this weekend against the Bay Area schools. Hamilton went 1-for-16 from the field on the Oregon trip.

Colorado

Pat Rooney provides us with an update on former Colorado men’s basketball players who transferred out of the program. Jaron Hopkins has had a nice year at Fresno State, averaging 12.9 points and 3.5 assists per game.

USC

Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports ranks the Rose Bowl as the best college football bowl game played this season. Hard to argue with USC 52, Penn State 49.
