• Four Pac-12 teams were among the top-16 seeds the NCAA announced on Monday night. OREGON STATE was No. 7, leading all Pac-12 teams, but STANFORD was just behind at No. 8. WASHINGTON was No. 10 and UCLA was No. 14. The announcement has no influence on the final bracket announcement

• Stanford head coach Tara VanDerveer won her 1,000th career game becoming just the second women’s coach, and just third Division I men’s and women’s coach in NCAA history.

• Six Pac-12 teams are ranked this week, five are in both the Associated Press and USA Today/WBCA Coaches polls. CALIFORNIA recorded a big upset over the weekend and reentered the top 25, earning a No. 24 ranking in the coaches poll.

• Only three weeks remain in the regular season and the race is tight with the top-four teams separated by just two games. Teams are not only battling for the Conference crown but also a bye in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament in Seattle in March.

• No. 15/12 UCLA is coming off a big upset of No. 8/11 Stanford on Monday night, the Bruins’ first win over the Cardinal in Maples since 1999. They look to extend that streak with a tough road trip to OREGON (Friday) and No. 9/9 OREGON STATE (Sunday). Both games will be televised on Pac-12 Network.

• The week wraps up with a top-25 matchup in Seattle when the No. 10/8 Washington hosts No. 23/21 Arizona State on Sunday.

• WASHINGTON’s Kelsey Plum is third on the NCAA’s all-time scoring list with 3,190 points just 93 points behind former Baylor All-American Brittney Griner (3,283). SW Missouri State’s Jackie Stiles holds the all-time record with 3,393 points.

• Three Pac-12 players were named to two prominent point guard award watch lists. UCLA’s Jordin Canada and Plum were named to the Dawn Staley Award and Nancy Lieberman Award watch lists for their performances at the floor general position, while OSU’s Sydney Wiese was also named to the Dawn Staley Award watch list.
