Roundup: Big comeback keeps Oregon men's basketball in Pac-12 race
Major-league drama in Berkeley Wednesday night, and Jeff Eisenberg breaks down Oregon’s comeback victory over Cal, erasing a 15-point deficit and coming out victorious thanks to Dillon Brook’s game-winning 3-pointer in the final second.
Tough loss to swallow for the Golden Bears, but hey, at least Steve Kerr was at the Cal-Oregon game sitting next to Cal football coach Justin Wilcox and Counting Crows lead singer Adam Duritz. Kerr’s son, Nick, played as a grad student for the Cal basketball team.

Check out this story from our very own Jen Cosgriff on how freshmen are helping to build the Washington State women’s swimming program. Keep an eye out for Ryan Falk, Luci Brock and Angela Mavrantza, y’all.
Daniel Uthman of USA TODAY Sports gives us this story on Kelsey Plum on the verge of breaking Jackie Stiles’ NCAA scoring record. Turns out that Stiles, when she was an assistant at LMU, called Plum to tell her she would like to help Kelsey break her NCAA scoring record at LMU. Anne M. Peterson of the Associated Press writes up this piece on Oregon State women’s basketball guard Sydney Wiese finishing up her “legacy-making” career in Corvallis. Never had the Beavs seen so much success until Wiese got to town.

It ain’t no rivalry, especially with Larry Krystkowiak considering Tad Boyle his “best friend in the league,” but Utah and Colorado men’s basketball are out to beat each other Thursday night in Boulder, writes Kyle Goon.
On the flipside, Colorado is hoping to curtail Utah's dominance in the series, as the Runnin' Utes have won six straight against the Buffs. Pat Rooney has more, and you can catch the game at 8 p.m PT/9 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
Anne Ryman of The Arizona Republic details why Arizona State doesn’t play Grand Canyon in any sport. Arizona State is not happy about Grand Canyon’s for-profit status, for starters.
You should check out this video of a UCLA student dunking on Lonzo Ball (on an 8-foot rim, by the way)… and then Ball absolutely murdering the dude with a windmill (CBS Sports, Kevin Wei TV).
Kyle Bonagura explains why USC football coaches think running back Ronald Jones II could have a breakout season in 2017. Dude was the No. 1 RB in his recruiting class.
