THIS WEEK: Brandon Holt, USC
• Holt's singles wins were the crucial go-ahead points in both tight victories for USC over Cal Poly and Stanford.
• His straight-set win, 6-4, 6-4, over #35 Ben Donovan gave USC a 3-2 lead over Cal Poly.
• Then his straight-set upset, 6-4, 6-2, of #12 Tom Fawcett lifted USC ahead 2-1 against Stanford.
• This is Holt’s first win and league-leading 49th for the Trojans
