COMPLETE RELEASE (PDF)

BOULDER, COLO. – Mother Nature prevailed on the second day of the Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championships and play has been suspended at Boulder Country Club in Boulder, Colo.

The Pac-12 men’s golf teams woke up to nearly four inches of snow Saturday morning, and while temperatures warmed throughout the day, the course remained blanketed with the white stuff. A full melt is expected overnight and an attempt to resume the second round will be scheduled for Sunday morning.

Six teams were still on the course Friday evening when play was halted due to darkness. OREGON, COLORADO and UCLA will need to play the final two holes (No. 17-18) to complete their second round. ARIZONA STATE, WASHINGTON and WASHINGTON STATE will need to complete four holes (No. 6-9) on Sunday morning before third round play begins.

Oregon (+16) holds a three-stroke lead over Washington (+19) in the team race. Oregon’s Wyndham Clark and Washington’s Carl Yuan, who still need to complete their second round, are tied atop the leaderboard at 2-under. USC’s Rico Hoey is the leader in the clubhouse after shooting even par (72-68—140).

The resumption of the second round will be determined Sunday morning at 9 a.m. MT, with the start time of the third round to be determined following the completion of the second round. An effort will be made to complete three rounds of the Championships. If less than 50 percent of the participants complete the third round, the round shall be canceled and the scores reverted to the last complete round. Pac-12 team and individual champions would then be determined with the completion of 36 holes.
