Roundup: APR scores are in
Zach Helfand of the Los Angeles Times looks at USC’s high APR scores, with football and men’s basketball posting all-time highs and nine sports rocking a perfect 1,000. The NCAA released its latest APR report on Wednesday.
Tom FitzGerald notes that Cal football and men’s basketball posted their best-ever APR scores, while Stanford had 14 programs that posted a 1,000.
Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Daily News looks at UCLA’s APR scores and points out that as a result of the football team registering a 971 multi-year score, coach Jim Mora earns an extra $70,000 in incentives due to his contract terms.
Washington State swimmer Anna Rosen won the Pac-12 Sportsmanship Award for 2016-17, it was announced Wednesday. Rosen sawm for three years at Wazzu despite have a serious heart condition that forced her to have an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator in her abdomen.
Arizona State women’s golf won its NCAA Regional for the first time since 2009. As a result, the Sun Devils are one of five Pac-12 teams to advance to the NCAA Championships.
