Zach Helfand of the Los Angeles Times looks at USC’s high APR scores, with football and men’s basketball posting all-time highs and nine sports rocking a perfect 1,000. The NCAA released its latest APR report on Wednesday.


Tom FitzGerald notes that Cal football and men’s basketball posted their best-ever APR scores, while Stanford had 14 programs that posted a 1,000.


Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Daily News looks at UCLA’s APR scores and points out that as a result of the football team registering a 971 multi-year score, coach Jim Mora earns an extra $70,000 in incentives due to his contract terms.

Washington State

Washington State swimmer Anna Rosen won the Pac-12 Sportsmanship Award for 2016-17, it was announced Wednesday. Rosen sawm for three years at Wazzu despite have a serious heart condition that forced her to have an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator in her abdomen.

Arizona State

Arizona State women’s golf won its NCAA Regional for the first time since 2009. As a result, the Sun Devils are one of five Pac-12 teams to advance to the NCAA Championships.


According to Jeff Goodman and pointed out here by Arizona Sports’ Adam Green, NBA executives think  Rawle Alkins should return to Arizona. He is projected to go somewhere in the mid-to-late second round, according to Goodman’s sources.


Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll writes that Markelle Fultz met with the Los Angeles Lakers, along with a handful of other teams who have at least somewhat-decent odds to land the No. 1 pick.
