NCAA Men's Golf Regionals: Four Pac-12 teams advance to Championship round

A quartet of teams from the Conference of Champions advanced out of NCAA Men's Golf Regionals all around the country and will head to the NCAA Championships starting May 26 in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Sammamish, Washington Regional


The Trojans took the top spot in the Washington Regional to advance to the championship for the 11th straight year. Sean Crocker, Justin Suh, and Rico Huey propelled USC forward, finishing tied for second (Crocker and Suh) and tied for fifth (Huey).


The Huskies fell just short of advancing to the NCAA Championships, finishing their regional at 17-over 869, good for seventh place. Corey Pereira had an outstanding Wednesday, birdieing six holes on his way to finishing even overall.


Cole Madey closed out his season tied for 45th with a 13-over 226.

Stanford, California Regional


The Cardinal took care of business on their home course, finishing the Stanford Regional 17-under 823 and tied with Baylor for first place. Brandon Wu had a monster day for Stanford, tallying six birdies and moving up 23 spots to finish tied for fourth. 


Despite finishing even on the day, Collin Morikawa fell just short of advancing to Sugar Grove, finishing tied for 12th and just one stroke behind the individual qualifier from North Florida.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana Regional


The reigning NCAA Champs are headed back to the finals, finishing third in the Louisiana Regional with a score of 879, 15-over par. Wyndham Clark continued to pace the Ducks, closing out the final round with a 1-under, giving him a final three-round score of 213. 

Austin, Texas Regional

Arizona State

The Sun Devils will join the Ducks in Sugar Grove for the championships, after staying consistent and finishing in fifth place. ASU put together an impressive round, going 8-under par on Wednesday. Alex Del Rey Gonzalez was a big contributor to that, finishing with a 3-under 68, his best round of the regional. 

West Lafayette, Indiana Regional


The Buffs' season came to a close on Wednesday after finishing 12th overall with a final team score of 910, 46-over par. 

College Grove, Tennessee Regional


Tyler Collier finished his season strong, moving up four spots on Wednesday to finish tied for 30th with a score of 6-over 222.
