Roundup: Arizona State women's golf puts Pac-12 one title away from 500

Arizona State women’s golf won the NCAA title by defeating Northwestern in the finals Wednesday in Illinois. It is the eighth title in team history and 499th overall team title in Pac-12 history.


USC women’s golf coach Andrea Gaston said she’s battling cancer after the Trojans lost to Northwestern in the NCAA semifinals Wednesday (Golfweek). She has had cancer for three months and asked her oncologist to delay surgery until the season was over.

Washington State rower Paige Danielson was named the NCAA Elite 90 Award winner for D1 rowing, it was announced Thursday. The electrical engineering major has a 4.0 GPA.


Jayda Evans of The Seattle Times reports that former Dawg Spencer Hawes was inducted into the Seattle Prep Athletic Hall of Fame recently. Hawes was a McDonald’s All-American out of Seattle Prep before heading to U-Dub for a year.
