Roundup: Triple crown complete for Oregon women's track & field team

The Oregon women won the NCAA outdoor track & field title Saturday, becoming the first women’s program to win the triple crown after taking home cross country and indoor titles earlier in the season.

Top-seeded Oregon State baseball is on to the College World Series after defeating Vanderbilt 9-2 Saturday night to complete a two-game sweep of the Commodores in Corvallis (The Oregonian/OregonLive).

Jacob Thorpe reports that former North Dakota forward Drick Bernstine has transferred to the Washington State men’s basketball team. As a graduate transfer, he can play immediately. Dude put up 20 points and 15 boards against Arizona in the NCAA tournament last year, so that’s a good sign for the Cougs.

Game 5 of the NBA Finals is Monday night, and Rob Mahoney writes about Kevin Love’s improving defense for the Cleveland Cavaliers. “Love” and “good defense” are not exactly phrases you see in the same sentence, but he did have a six-steal game in this series.
