The growing importance of the Pac-12 Championship Game has made it a must-attend event for all Pac-12 football fans. In 2016, the Pac-12 Championship Game catapulted its champion into the College Football Playoff for the second time in three years. Pac-12 North Champion Washington and Pac-12 South Champion Colorado both appeared in the Championship Game for the first time, with Washington coming away with a 41-10 victory and earning a coveted spot in the College Football Playoff. The final set of 2016 College Football Playoff rankings saw Washington and Colorado ranked No. 4 and No. 10 in the nation, respectively.

The 2017 Pac-12 football season will feature several teams on the rise and a large cast of standout student-athletes, including 21 returning all-Pac-12 performers, several Heisman-contending quarterbacks, and the reigning Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. The incredible depth throughout the conference means it’s anyone’s guess who will be present in Santa Clara as the 2017 season culminates in a meeting of the best of the Pac-12 North and the Pac-12 South at the state-of-the-art Levi’s Stadium.
