Roundup: Bryce Love's stats through four games are off the charts
Zach Barnett of NBC Sports’ CollegeFootballTalk dives into the numbers behind Stanford running back Bryce Love’s 2017 season so far. Love was unstoppable in the Cardinal’s 58-34 win over UCLA Saturday night, rushing for 263 yards and a touchdown. Through four games, Love leads the nation in rushing yards per game while also averaging a whopping 10.8 yards per carry. Yes, that’s right – 10.8 yards per carry.
Following the blowout loss to Stanford, UCLA defensive lineman Jaelan Phillips vowed that the Bruins won’t lose again (theScore). Phillips did not play in Saturday night’s game due to injury.
Fresh off a hard-fought 30-20 win over Cal to improve to 4-0, USC wants to get off to a better start against Washington State, writes Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register (linked here by Los Angeles Daily News).
