November Golfers of the Month
SAN FRANCISCO - Justin Suh of USC and Lilia Vu of UCLA have been named the Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Golfers for he Month for November, the Pac-12 announced today.
Suh, a junior from San Jose, Calif., completed a wire-to-wire performance to win the Saint Mary's Invitational and lead USC to its first win of the fall season. Suh, the nation's top-ranked golfer, completed his wire-to-wire win at 13-under 200 (67-66-67) for his second title this season, his third top 2 and his fourth top 9 in as many fall events. He posted 15 birdies for the tournament plus an eagle against just four bogeys. Suh's finish gave him nine round under 70 in 12 outings and lowered his stroke average this season to an eye-popping 67.83, which ranks second nationally.
The Golfweek men’s Top 25 team rankings include No. 11 STANFORD, No. 13 CALIFORNIA, No. 15 USC and No. 21 UCLA.

Vu, a junior from Fountain Valley, Calif., came from behind in dramatic fashion to win the inaugural Battle of the Beach (Nov. 3-5) in Cabo San Lucas, shooting a final-round 67 to win by one stroke. For the tournament, Vu shot rounds of 69-69-67 for an 8-under total of-205. She was one off the lead entering the third round where she posted six birdies and two bogeys. Vu’s come-from-behind victory also helped springboard UCLA to the overall team win. The Bruins trailed Oklahoma by five strokes heading into the final round, then posted a tournament-best 12-under 272 to defeat the Sooners by three. Vu’s 69.63 average scoring is currently sixth nationally.
The Bruins hold down the top spot in the Golfweek women’s Top 25 team rankings. STANFORD is No 5, followed by No. 10 USC, No. 12 ARIZONA STATE, No. 14 COLORADO and No. 18 WASHINGTON.
