Seven #Pac12Gym teams ranked this week

•  All eight Pac-12 gymnastics squads match up in Conference meets this weekend. ARIZONA visits cross-town neighbor No. 17 ARIZONA STATE to kick things off on Saturday, followed by No. 22 STANFORD against No. 10 WASHINGTON. On Sunday, No. 4 UTAH travels to No. 21 CALIFORNIA and No. 3 UCLA hosts No. 8 OREGON STATE. Both Sunday meets will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks.

•  Last week in #Pac12Gym, Utah took down UCLA for the second year in a row in the battle of Pac-12 powerhouses in Los Angeles. Led by 11-time Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week MyKayla Skinner, the Utes earned the win with a 197.550 team score over UCLA’s 197.425 in a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final event. With the meet on the line, Utah's final competitor Skinner scored a 9.925 on the balance beam to secure the win.

•  California picked up its second win in Conference play against Bay Area rival Stanford, recording its best road score of the season. Despite the loss, the Cardinal’s Elizabeth Price shined with a perfect routine on the floor exercise, earning her second 10 score of the season and third of her career. Price took home gold in three events and claimed her fifth all-around title of the year, scoring a season-high 9.975 on vault and added 9.900 on the uneven bars.

•  Oregon State hosted Arizona for this year’s Dam Worth It meet at Gill Coliseum last Saturday. Both teams came together to honor the special event organized by Dam Worth It, OSU’s student-athlete driven campaign to raise awareness about student-athlete mental health issues. Oregon State registered its best score of the year during the meet, topping the 197-point plateau for the first time in 2018 to defeat the Wildcats, 197.300-145.375. While Oregon State produced its best meet of the year, Arizona performed short-handed with just eight gymnasts available.

•  Washington climbed three spots in the rankings this week, placing No. 10 in the nation after beating the No. 17 Gym Devils 197.025-196.575 last Saturday. The Huskies rallied behind Hailey Burleson, who took home titles on vault (tie 9.875), beam (tie 9.900) and floor (tie 9.900). Pac-12 Freshman of the Week ASU’s Cairo Leonard-Baker tied for the all-around title with Burleson, posting a 39.525, and picked up wins on bars (9.950) and floor (tie 9.900).

• This week’s national rankings have UCLA at No. 3, followed by No. 4 Utah, #8 Oregon State, No. 10 Washington, No. 17 Arizona State, No. 21 California, and #22 Stanford.
