Former Cal men’s basketball standout Jaylen Brown became the youngest player to score 30 points in a playoff game for the Boston Celtics, helping the C’s take down Milwaukee 120-106 in Game 2 of a first-round Eastern Conference playoff series Tuesday night (ESPN).

UCLA

Jrue Holiday scored a playoff career-high 33 points to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to a 111-102 win over Portland in Game 2 of a first-round Western Conference playoff series Tuesday night in Oregon (ESPN). The sixth-seeded Pelicans are up 2-0 going home.

USC

Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN writes that DeMar DeRozan’s 37-point outing Tuesday night against Washington shows how dangerous the top-seeded Toronto Raptors can be in the playoffs this year. Yours truly has the Raptors going to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history in June.

Oregon

The University of Oregon unveiled plans for a Hayward Field re-design on Tuesday (Sports Illustrated). The renovations to the historic track and field stadium are expected to be done by 2020 and it is backed by Phil and Penny Knight and other private donations. This thing looks sweet.

Washington

Did you know that Washington softball has been the No. 1 team in the country for nine straight weeks now (NCAA.com)? The Dawgs are 41-2 after sweeping then-No. 25 Cal over the weekend in a rain-shortened series.

Washington State

New Washington State women’s basketball coach Kamie Ethridge talked about a welcome message she received from returning Cougars in her introductory press conference Tuesday afternoon in Pullman, and Theo Lawson is here to give us the skinny.

Stanford

GoStanford.com tells us that while the Cardinal women's tennis team is on a 10-match winning streak, it has an important stretch run ahead of it leading into the postseason. No. 20 Stanford hosts rival Cal in the Big Slam on Friday before heading to Pac-12 Championships next week. 

Colorado

Former Colorado men’s basketball player George King was named to the Portsmouth Invitational all-tournament team over the weekend, averaging 18 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 58 percent from the floor and 54 percent from downtown over the course of three games (BuffZone.com). Some draft-prep process it has been for King, who was also named the East team Most Outstanding Player at the NABC All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend.

Oregon State

Ron Richmond of The Oregonian/OregonLive reports that Nick Madrigal is close to returning to the Oregon State baseball team. Madrigal has missed 26 games due to a broken bone in his wrist, but it sounds like he could play in the upcoming series against rival Oregon.

Arizona

Arizona baseball defeated BYU 6-1 Tuesday night on Pac-12 Networks, and here’s the recap from our Daron Sutton and Ben Francisco.

Utah

Utah’s Mesa Weidle was named Pac-12 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after running a season-best 57.28 in the 400-meters at the Mark Faldmo Invitational.
