This year's edition of the U.S. Open Championships at Shinnecock Hills Golf Course, like so many premiere competitions before it, features a strong mix of current and former standouts who got their starts in the Pac-12.

Of the schools, Arizona State tops the list with seven golfers who have Pac-12 ties. Phil Mickelson is going for the career grand slam, and Jon Rahm is ranked No. 5 in the world heading into play. Meanwhile, rising junior Chun An Yu will make his U.S. Open debut.

Also noteworthy is former Oregon standout Aaron Wise, who is coming off his first PGA Tour win in May at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Here is a complete list of qualifiers with Pac-12 ties.
