Shareef O'Neal, son of basketball Hall of Famer Shaq, will join the UCLA men's basketball team officially, the school announced Monday. ESPN's Kyle Bonagura has the lodown, with quotes from coach Steve Alford. 

ESPN ranks Stanford running back Bryce Love No. 2 on its list of the top 50 college football players leading into the 2018 season, trailing only Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver. Also on the list from the Pac-12 are Oregon QB Justin Herbert (14th), Washington QB Jake Browning (15th), Arizona QB Khalil Tate (19th) and Washington RB Myles Gaskin (28th).

According to the great Adam Schefter, former USC quarterback Sam Darnold has a “very fair shot” to start Week 1 for the New York Jets. Darnold is competing against Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater for the starting job.
