With the 2018 season set to begin, No. 19 Utah has welcomed five newcomers to the roster with two transfers and three freshmen.
 
Leading up to the season, Utahutes.com will be posting a quick Q&A with each newcomer. The fifth and final newcomer is outside hitter Megan Yett.
 
The outside hitter from Caldwell, Idaho was tabbed the No. 41 player in the country by PrepVolleyball.com. She was a three-time 2A Western Idaho Player of the Year while leading her team to two state championships. Yett was named to the AVCA Under Armour Watch list.
 
She will major in criminal justice.
 
While you were getting recruited, what made you so excited about Utah?
How family oriented the program is and the competition level of the Pac-12.
 
What stood out to you about campus when you came to visit?
The campus is beautiful and I love how the mountains look over the city.
 
How would you describe your game on the court?
I'm competitive, driven and passionate.
 
What are your goals on and off the court while you're in a college?
I want to be known as an aggressive competitor who fights for every ball. Off the court, I want to hold a high GPA throughout college.
 
What do you want to add to the team this season?
I want to push others to be the best they can be.

Utah begins the season on Friday, August 24 at 7 p.m. against UC Irvine in the Huntsman Center.
