TEMPE, Ariz. – The nation's leader in NCAA Championships, No. 10/14 Arizona State women's golf, is set to start the 2018-19 campaign in Franklin, Tenn. at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Women's Championship for the second consecutive season (Sept. 21-23).
Â
The tournament features host-Vanderbilt, ASU, Auburn, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Clemson, Houston, Louisville, LSU, Mercer, Michigan State, Middle Tennessee, Missouri, North Carolina, and Wake Forest. 18 holes apiece will be played each of the three days on the first and 10th tee beginning at 8:30 am CT/6:30 am PT.
Â
ASU competes in arguably the toughest women's golf conference in the nation as the past four NCAA Championships have been won by members of the Pac-12 Conference (the Sun Devils brought home their eighth trophy in 2017). The Sun Devils are ranked No. 10 by the WGCA and No. 14 by Golfweek to start the season, with five Pac-12 teams ranked in the top-10 by the WGCA.
Â
This weekend, the Sun Devils return to the Nashville suburb for the 18th annual tournament at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. After a hiatus from the tournament since 2013, the Sun Devils tied their program-low 54-hole score vs. par (-25) with a third-place finish in 2017.
Â
Returning this season are two-time All-American junior
Olivia Mehaffey, sophomore
Raquel Olmos, and senior
Madison Kerley. Freshman and German National Team member Alexandra Försterling and Northern Arizona University standout transfer, senior
