SALT LAKE CITY - Junior Kylie Miller had the best match of her collegiate career with personal bests in assists (41) and digs (22) to post her seventh career double-double, as the 17th-ranked Bruins recorded a four-set victory at No. 23 Utah on Friday at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Set scores were 25-21, 18-25, 29-27, 25-13.

Sophomore Jenny Mosser added 11 kills and eight digs, junior Madeleine Gates posted 10 kills and five blocks and senior Kyra Rogers had eight kills and five blocks. Junior Savvy Simo had 12 digs and two aces, senior Zana Muno added 11 digs and freshman Hawley Harrer tallied six digs and four kills. The Bruins hit .257 for the match.

The Bruins never trailed in set one, despite five ties. Even at 12, the Bruins scored eight of 10 to go up by a set-best six. May recorded four kills during the run, Rogers added two, Miller served an ace and teamed up with Gates on a block to make it 20-14. The Utes closed to within two at 21-19, but the Bruins scored four of the last six to win the opener, 25-21. Mosser had a kill, while Gates had a solo block and the set-clinching kill during the final run. May was error-free with five kills in 10 attempts, as was Gates, who was 4-for-8. Mosser also had four kills, with Miller nearly producing a double-double with 12 assists and nine digs, setting the Bruins to a .350 hitting percentage. Simo added four digs.

Utah led wire-to-wire in set two, scoring 13 of the first 16 points and never looking back. The Bruins gained some momentum by netting eight of the last 11 points of the second set, but the Utes would even the match with a 25-18 victory. May and Mosser each had three kills, while Miller added five digs. The Bruins were out-hit .237 to .139.

UCLA scored eight of the first 11 points in set three on kills by Rogers, Harrer and Gates and five Utah errors. At 15-10, four of five for the Bruins gave them a set-best, eight-point lead, as May and Miller had kills and Utah committed two errors. The Utes made their run and would end up tying the score at 22- and 23-all. A Ute attack error gave the Bruins their first set point, but Utah scored the next two to earn a set point of its own. A May kill and Simo ace gave UCLA a second set point, but it was saved by Utah. A May kill made it 27-26, but the Utes sided out. Finally following another May kill, Rogers and Muno teamed up for a block and the Bruins won the third by a score of 29-27 on their fourth set point. May had six kills in the third, Rogers added four and Gates posted three. Simo recorded six digs and Miller had four. The Bruins out-hit the Utes, .333 to .135.
