Pac-12 Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Oct 2, 2018

Amir Bashti, Sr., MF/F, Stanford (Cupertino, Calif.)
• 2 matches played, 2 goals, 2 assists, 6 points, 5 shots, 4 sog
• Bashti tallied a goal and a helper in each victory in Stanford’s weekend sweep of San Diego State, 3-0, and UCLA, 3-0, to improve the Cardinal's Conference winning streak to eight matches.
• In the Pac-12 opener against the Aztecs, Bashti assisted Logan Panchot's header finish in the 55th minute to get on the board and put the game out of reach 10 minutes later with an upper-90 finish from 20 yards out for a 3-0 edge.
• On Sunday, Bashti again assisted on the winning tally and continued his goal-scoring momentum with a shot blasted inside the near post to top local rival UCLA.
• Bashti has registered points in five games this season and scored four of his team-leading five goals in the last four matches.
• Collects his second Pac-12 Player of the Week award in three weeks and marks Stanford’s 31st all-time nod.
