Oregon, UCLA climb in top 25 to open Pac-12 Men's Basketball play

2 - Two Pac-12 teams are nationally ranked in the latest AP poll, featuring No. 13 OREGON and No. 20 UCLA. The Ducks and Bruins each climbed one spot following identical 2-0 starts.

  • It marks the highest AP rankings for the programs since both concluded the 2016-17 campaign in the top 10 (Oregon #9, UCLA #8).

4 - Four separate Pac-12 standouts were named to the John R. Wooden Award and Citizen Naismith Trophy National Player of the Year watch lists, three for each honor.

  • UCLA’s Kris Wilkes and USC’s Bennie Boatwright were selected to both lists, while OREGON’s Payton Pritchard and Bol Bol were named to the Wooden and Naismith lists, respectively.

18-5 - The Pac-12 opened the 2018-19 campaign with an 18-5 record, with four of its five losses coming against major conference opponents, three of which took place in true road contests.

  • The Pac-12 is 2-2 vs. 2018 NCAA/NIT postseason teams and 1-0 vs. preseason league favorites.

27 - Pac-12 men’s basketball teams will play a combined 27 true road games during non-conference play, the most of any major conference in the country.

55 - Not including potential MTE opponents, Pac-12 men’s basketball will play a combined 55 non-conference opponents who participated in the 2018 postseason - 28 at home and 27 at road or neutral sites.

PAC-12 ROADSHOW: The Pac-12 will test itself away from home this season to the tune of a combined 27 true road games, or 2.3 true road games per league member - the most among the power conferences.
