BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Danny Comforti added the Sun Devils' second individual title on the weekend in the final day of the Indiana Invitational, taking the top mark in the 200 breast. Comforti's mark of 1:55.29 was also a whole second ahead of second place.

Adding 17 more NCAA B-Cuts on the day, the Sun Devils totaled 47 this weekend alone. Nine of those total marks came from freshmen, including Liam Bresette (500FR, 200FR), Cody Bybee (500FR, 200FR, 200FL), Khalil Fonder (100FL, 100BK), Jack Edgemond (200FL) and Ruby Martin (200FL).

This evening's finals began with the mile, with Emma Nordin racing to a fourth-place finish in the event with a time of 16:09.78, beating her previous personal best by 11 seconds. Fellow distance swimmer Ben Olszewski excelled in the event as well, touching the wall at 15:06.93 for fifth place overall. Kendall Dawson (16:30.48) and Matthew Kint (15:17.82) rounded out the Sun Devils' top-10 finishes in the mile, with both placing ninth while notching B-Cuts.

Freshman Ruby Martin shined in the 200 butterfly as her 1:57.95 mark earned fifth place in the A-Finals. Martin was one of three freshmen in the 200 fly A-Final, and her mark also secured her the fourth-fastest time in ASU history. She now holds two of the top-10 times through four meets this season.

The Sun Devils notched two podium finishes on the night, beginning with Zach Poti's second place finish in the 200 back. Heading into the A-Finals as the first seed, Poti finished less than half a second behind first place and tied a personal record of 1:40.48 in the event. The mark tied his own record of fourth-fastest in Sun Devil history.

Comforti's victory in the 200 breast came by a rather large margin of 1.13s, the largest margin between succeeding finishers in the A-Final. Like Poti, Comforti also went into his event as the top seed, racing to a first place finish in the 200 breast prelims earlier this morning.

Rounding out the final day, five Sun Devils raced to A-Finals, 12 in B-Finals and 17 in C-Finals.

The Sun Devil men totaled 1,128 points in the Invitational to take fourth place while the women totaled 820 points to take fourth place as well.

With the conclusion of the Indiana Invitational, the Sun Devils turn their sights toward winter training. ASU is back in action in January, when Washington State women's swimming rolls into Tempe for a Pac-12 matchup.
