The USC men's volleyball team split into two squads and competed at this weekend's UCLA SAC Tournament, with the USC "A" team going 0-2 and the "B" team finishing 1-2.

On Friday (Nov. 16), USC A lost to UC Santa Barbara A, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21, while USC B fell to UCSB B, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Then on Saturday (Nov. 17), USC B lost to Cal State Northridge B, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17 but defeated UCLA B, 25-20, 25-22, 25-16. USC A lost to UCLA A, 25-19, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23. The scheduled USC A versus CSUN A match was not played.

The tourney concluded USC's pre-season competition. After an Alumni match on Dec. 29, USC begins its 2019 regular season with a non-conference home match against Alberta on Jan. 4 and then plays in the Outrigger Resorts Invitational in Hawaii on Jan. 10-12 versus Concordia, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Hawaii.
