November 20, 2018 | Football
Redshirt junior running back Joshua Kelley of the UCLA football team has been selected the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 12-18.
Kelley turned in one of the greatest rushing performances in UCLA history Saturday, toting the ball 40 times for 289 yards and two touchdowns in the Bruins' 34-27 win over crosstown rival USC. The yardage total marked the most in the history of the 88-game series and the third greatest in program history. The fourth quarter belonged to Kelley, who carried the ball 12 times for 104 yards, including a 55-yard scoring run that gave UCLA the lead for good. The Lancaster, Calif. native also eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the season and recorded a touchdown for the seventh-straight game (longest UCLA streak since Skip Hicks in 1996-97).
This is Kelley's first career UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award.
