2018 Pac-12 Football Championship Game set, Washington secures the North
SAN FRANCISCO—The WASHINGTON Huskies captured the Pac-12 North Division title as they defeated rival WASHINGTON STATE, 28-15, in Pullman, Wash., Saturday night. The Huskies will face the UTAH Utes from the South Division in the eighth annual Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday, November 30, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
Washington captured the North Division title after finishing the regular season with a 7-2 Pac-12 record. The Huskies finished tied with Washington State atop the North Division standings, but won the Conference’s tie-breaker based on their head-to-head victory tonight in the Apple Cup.
Utah clinched the South Division last Saturday with its win over Colorado, but needed help from Oregon and received that later on Saturday when the Ducks defeated Arizona State.
Washington (7-2 in Pac-12, 9-3 overall), currently ranked No. 16 in the CFP rankings, captured its second North Division title in three years. The Huskies defeated Colorado, 41-10, in the 2016 Pac-12 Football Championship Game.
Utah (6-3 in Pac-12, 8-3 overall), which concludes the regular season Saturday against BYU, will be making its first-ever appearance in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
This will be a rematch of their game played earlier this season when Washington defeated Utah, 21-7, in Salt Lake City on September 15.
The Pac-12 Football Championship Game will be televised by FOX at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.
