Nine Bruins Collect Pac-12 All-Academic Plaudits

SAN FRANCISCO – Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott released today the Pac-12 Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic teams, and nine UCLA Bruins received the honor.

Redshirt junior Millen Trujillo, who boasted a 3.92 GPA, led the Bruins with a first team selection, while redshirt sophomore Andy Ehrenberg earned a spot on the second team with a GPA of 3.82.

The UCLA men had three runners earn honorable mention honors – redshirt junior Colin Burke, redshirt junior George Gleason and redshirt sophomore Chris Morzenti. Both Burke and Gleason collected the honor for the third time.

On the women's side, the quartet of redshirt sophomore Kelly Bernd, sophomore Paige Carter, redshirt junior Jackie Garner and junior Claire Markey reaped honorable mention accolades as well. Bernd and Markey received the honor for the second straight season.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA, at least one year in residence at their institution, and participate in a minimum threshold of competitions.
