FAST BREAKS
• Utah returns home to open a three-game home stretch over the next three weeks, first hosting Florida A&M this Monday, Dec. 17, at the Huntsman Center.
• Utah will wrap up games before the holidays with a home contest against Northern Arizona this Friday, Dec. 21, at the Huntsman Center.
• Monday's contest will mark the first ever meeting between Utah and Florida A&M.
• Utah will face an opponent from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) for just the eighth time in school history. The Utes are currently 7-0 all-time when facing teams from the MEAC
• Utah is coming off a loss to Kentucky this past Saturday in Lexington, Ky., while FAMU dropped a road game to Georgia Tech back on Dec. 9.
 
THE GAME
Utah (4-5) will open a three-game home stand with an early week match-up against Florida A&M this Monday, Dec. 17. Tip-off between the Utes and Rattlers is set for 6 p.m. MT
 
COVERING THE RUNNIN' UTES
Monday's contest will air on the Utah Athletics Radio Network (ESPN 700 AM) with Bill Riley and Jimmy Soto announcing. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Roxy Bernstein calling the action and Bill Walton providing color commentary.
 
SCOUTING FLORIDA A&M
Florida A&M is 3-8 overall after falling in its last game, 73-40, to Georgia Tech on the road back on Dec. 9. The Rattlers won its previous contest, downing Fort Valley State 80-58 at home. It marked the first win for FAMU since opening the 2018-19 season with consecutive victories on Nov. 6 and 10.
 
FAMU's Justin Ravenel leads the team with a 13.7 points per game average and Tracy Hector leads the team on the boards with 5.9 rebounds per game.
 
FAMU shoots nearly 42 percent from the field, 37 percent from three-point range and 62 percent from the free throw line.
 
UTAH VS. FLORIDA A&M HISTORY
Monday will mark the first-ever meeting between Utah and Florida A&M. Utah is 7-0 all-time though, against teams from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Utes fell 88-61 to No. 19/18-ranked Kentucky just this past Saturday in Lexington, Ky. Freshman Both Gach registered a season/career-high 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting, but it wasn't enough as Utah tallied 18 turnovers which led to 34 Wildcat points.
 
Utah out-rebounded the Wildcats, 31-23, marking just the second time this season that Kentucky had been beaten on the boards. The first time came in its season-opening loss to Duke, but the Blue Devils out-rebounded Kentucky by just one board. Kentucky came into the contest having pulled down 15.2 rebounds more than its opponent, which ranked No. 1 in the nation coming in. It also marked the first time UK had been beaten on the boards at home since Tennessee pulled down more rebounds back in February of last season.
