Pac-12 announces Wrestler of the Week

Nathan Traxler, Stanford (RSo., 195 – St. Charles, Ill.)
• Traxler finished as the runner-up at 197 pounds at the Southern Scuffle with a 4-1 record, helping Stanford to its best-ever finish at the tournament (4th).
• He opened the tournament with a pair of technical falls over Ohio's Nate Hall (16-0; 2:27) and Rider's Ethan Laird (15-0 5:53) to advance to the quarterfinals. He earned a 7-5 decision over Northern Colorado's Jacob Seely to move on to the semifinals. There, he registered a 9-7 decision over No. 11 Dakota Geer of Oklahoma State. He fell in the finals to top-ranked Bo Nickal of Penn State.
• Traxler, who is now 17-4 on the year, was one of nine Cardinal to reach the podium, also a program record.

Also nominated: Christian Pagdilao, 157, ASU (def. #3 Alex Pantaleo in dual vs. Michigan); Tom Lane, 197, Cal Poly (won five consecutive matches to place sixth at the Midland Championships)
