Pac-12 announces tennis players of the week

Pac-12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week: Thomas Laurent, Sr., Oregon (Montpellier, France)
• Laurent, the No. 5-ranked singles player in the country, won all three of his singles matches at the first court, including a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents. He helped lead the Ducks to three dual match victories on the weekend over San Diego (4-3), Nevada (4-0) and New Mexico (7-0).
• Defeated No. 83 August Holgrem of San Diego, 6-0, 6-2, on Friday and then went on to beat No. 23 Ricky Hernandez Tong of New Mexico, 6-0, 6-1, improving to 7-3 against ranked opponents and 13-3 in singles play this year.
• Dropped just 10 games in three matches, and just three total games in the two matches, against ranked players.
• Just two wins shy of becoming the third Duck to reach 90 wins and five away from tying the program record.
• Laurent earns his third-career Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor and the ninth all-time for the Ducks.

Pac-12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week: Elysia Bolton, Fr., UCLA (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.)
• The freshman standout was key to No. 8 UCLA’s dual-match wins over No. 9 Oklahoma State (4-1) and Tulsa (4-0), as three of her four weekend wins, including both singles victories, came in clinching fashion.
• Besides her two singles victories over Oklahoma State’s Bunyawi Thamchaiwat (7-5, 6-4) and top singles court win over Tulsa’s Martina Okalova (6-2, 6-3), Bolton also teamed up with Jada Hart for two doubles victories at the No. 2 spot.
• After an undefeated weekend, she now owns a perfect 8-0 record across dual match singles and doubles action.
• Bolton earns her first-career Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honor and the 23rd all-time weekly honor for the Bruins.
