Pac-12 announces tennis players of the week

Pac-12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week: Dan Little, Sr., Utah (London, England)
• Went undefeated in singles play against two ranked opponents on the weekend in a road dual match win over Miami (4-2) and loss to Iowa (5-2).
• Notched his first ranked win of the season, defeating No. 13 Adria Soriano of Miami on the No. 1 court with a score of 7-5, 6-4. The senior’s big singles victory ignited the Utes comeback win over the Hurricanes.
• Went on to defeat No. 89 Kareem Allaf of Iowa on the first singles court, only allowing Allaf to win four total points and defeating him 6-1, 6-3. Has now won three straight and five total matches in singles competition this season.
• The senior studying business and 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic honoree earns his first-career Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor and the fifth all-time weekly honor for the Utes.

Pac-12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week: Emily Arbuthnott, Jr., Stanford (Harpenden, Hertfordshire, England)
• No. 14 ranked Arbuthnott provided two clinching singles victories for No. 1 Stanford in a dominant 4-0 win over No. 18 LSU and a 4-3 victory over No. 6 Texas at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
• In the opening round, defeated LSU’s Taylor Bridges 6-3, 6-4 in the fourth singles spot. Went on to power the Cardinal to victory over the Longhorns in the quarterfinals with a three-set victory over Fernanda Labrana (6-4, 4-6, 6-1).
• Improved to 17-3 all-time in three-setters while providing her 20th career clincher, five of which have come in NCAA competition.
• Arbuthnott, honored twice as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.50, earns her first-career Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honor and the 21st all-time weekly honor for the Cardinal.
