02/23/2019 | Squash
HARTFORD, Conn. - No. 4 Stanford's impressive tournament run came to an end on Saturday, falling to No. 1 Harvard 9-0 in the semifinals of the CSA National Championships.

Competing in the semifinal for the first time in school history, Stanford (7-5) was unable to knock off four-time defending Howe Cup champion Harvard (12-0), which extended its winning streak to 64 matches dating back to 2015.

The Crimson swept eight of the nine matchups, as only Caroline Neave was able to come away with a set, prevailing 11-5 in the third frame of her match.

Neave clinched Stanford's 5-4 win over No. 5 Yale on Friday, representing the Cardinal's first opening-round win in program history. The Cardinal has won four of the last five against the Bulldogs after losing 10 of the previous 13 matchups.

Stanford will close out tournament play in the third-place game on Sunday, squaring off against No. 2 Princeton at 8 a.m. PT.
