Bruins Finish Up Play in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Senior Cole Madey was under par on the final day of the Southern Highlands Collegiate, shooting a 1-under 71 at the Southern Highlands Golf Club on Tuesday. As a team, the Bruins tied for 13th (+23, 887), shooting a 5-over 293 in the final round.

Madey finished in a tie for 37th (+4, 220), making three birdies, including back-to-back to conclude his round on No. 8 and 9. He added a birdie on No. 18 and two bogeys. Junior Hidetoshi Yoshihara tied for 48th (+6, 222), shooting a 1-over 73 on Tuesday on one birdie (No. 5) and two bogeys. Sophomore Devon Bling tied for 50th (+7, 223), recording a 2-over 74 with three birdies (No. 16, 2 and 5) and five bogeys. Sophomore Eddy Lai tied for 60th (+10, 226), posting a 3-over 75 on Tuesday on three birdies (No. 14, 18 and 8), two bogeys and two doubles. Freshman Sean Maruyama tied for 69th (+12, 228), shooting a 7-over 79 on two birdies (No. 18 and 8), three bogeys and two triples.

The Bruins are back on the course on April 1-2 at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational (University Place, Wash./Chambers Bay Golf Course).
