EUGENE, Ore. – The Washington men's tennis team dropped their Pac-12 opener to Oregon 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Dawgs took the doubles point and a 1-0 lead but fell in the five out the six singles matches.

Piers Foley took down Charles Roberts and Armando Soemarno 6-2. The Senior duo of
Enzo Sommer and
Kawika Lam beat Riki Oshima and Thomas Laurent 6-4 to win the doubles point.
Freshman
Ewen Lumsden and freshman
Adam Torocsik were down 3-5 on Court 3 when the overall match was decided.
Oregon tied up the match at one as Laurent defeated Sommer on Court 1, 7-5, 6-2.
Freshman
Kasper Smith dropped his match on Court 6 4-6, 4-6 to Roberts as the Ducks took a 2-1 lead.
Freshman
Ernesto Turegano fell to Oshima 6-7, 1-6 to give Oregon a 3-1 lead.
Oregon clinched the victory on Court 2 as Coste beat Foley 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.
Lumsden dropped his match on Court 5, 6-7, 6-7 for Oregon's fifth point of the match.
Davis's match on Court 3 went unfinished. Davis was up 6-2, 4-6, 5-2 at the completion of the match.
With the loss, the Huskies dropped to 3-9 on the year and 0-1 in Pac-12 play.
UW will next be in action at home on Friday, March 15 to face Eastern Washington and Gonzaga.
