Beavers Fall To Colorado At Pac-12 Tournament

LAS VEGAS – Oregon State could not overcome its worst shooting for a half performance of the season falling to Colorado in the quartefinals of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament Thursday at T-Mobile Arena, 73-58.
The Beavers (18-13) were 0-for-9 from three-point range in the opening period adding up to just 27.6 percent on 8 of 29 overall from the field in the first 20 minutes. OSU trailed by 21 points on five occasions in the first half and was down 37-18 at halftime. The 18 points represented the fewest in a first half this season.
OSU made a valiant comeback in the second half with a pair of 10-0 runs closing to within six points four times; twice the Beavers had opportunities to close the gap even further but missed field goals.
Tres Tinkle once again led OSU with 23 points; his 65th consecutive contest scoring in double figures. Ethan Thompson added 16 points and Stephen Thompson Jr., tallied 10 points.
