SAN FRANCISCO—MyKayla Skinner has been named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week after leading Utah to its best road score of the season in a narrow 197.525-197.450 loss at No. 8 Georgia last Saturday. Skinner won the all-around with a 39.675 (the best all-around score in the Pac-12 last week). She also won floor with a near-perfect 9.975, placed second on vault (9.925) and bars (9.90), and scored a 9.875 on beam.
 
It is the fourth Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week award for Skinner this season, with the others coming on Jan. 8, Jan. 23 and Jan. 29. The junior is the all-time conference (Pac-10/Pac-12) record-holder for career Gymnast of the Week awards with 16.
 
Entering this week's Pac-12 Championship, Skinner is ranked No. 2 in the nation on vault, No. 3 in the all-around and is tied for sixth on both beam and floor. She is also ranked in the top-25 on beam.
 
The Gilbert, Ariz., native is Utah's win leader for the third-straight season with 28 victories and her 105 career wins ranks third in school history.
 
Skinner will lead Utah into Saturday's Pac-12 Championship as the two-time defending Pac-12 all-around and floor champion. She also has one Pac-12 vault title.
 
Utah will compete as the No. 2 seed in the evening session of the Pac-12 Championship, at 6 p.m. in the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah. Others in the session are UCLA, Oregon State and California. The afternoon session starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are available  here.
